Head of the Department

"As the chair of DCS I would like to take this opportunity to inform the students and researchers outside IISER Kolkata of the atmosphere and vibrant work culture at DCS. It allows students and faculty members to seamlessly interact and exchange ideas fearlessly. While we aim to improve further, our teaching programs already compare very well with the global leaders on the learning and research outcomes, providing excellent opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The research groups at DCS collaborate and interact within and outside the department with academia and industry extensively to address societal problems. On behalf of the department, I welcome the talented students and researchers to join us or collaborate in our pursuit of excellence in learning and scaling new paradigms in Chemical Science.
